 Lotus Restaurants Give Back to the Community for Thanksgiving
San Rafael's Lotus Cuisine of India, Novato's Anokha Cuisine of India, and Fairfax's Café Lotus
will serve a free Indian buffet at all three locations on Wednesday,
November 24, the day before Thanksgiving. Anyone may come and eat from
5:00 p.m. until the food runs out.
This is the fifth year owner
Surinder "Paul" Sroa has offered this benefit to the Marin community.
Each year at this event the restaurants serve a total of 1,500 to 2,000
people.
"This is our way of saying thanks and giving back to the community," says Sroa.

Golden Egg Omelet House Is Back
Due to popular demand from longtime customers, Novato's landmark Golden Egg Omelet House is back, at its original location at 807 Grant Avenue, and with its original menu.
First opened in 1977, the restaurant recently spent a brief stint as the
Old Town Bistro.
It is now once again the Golden Egg Omelet House. Chef and part owner
Jose Martinez, who has been cooking there for 25 years, is ready to
prepare the customer's choice of 101 omelets. These include the "Marin,"
with spinach, mushrooms, and jack cheese, and the "Greek," with bacon,
chopped olives, tomatoes, and feta - along with 99 more omelet
variations.
In addition to omelets, the menu features pancakes
and waffles, including gluten free pancakes; soups, including the chef's
famous gazpacho; sandwiches, and salads. Lunch specials are offered
daily. Everything is made from fresh ingredients and is prepared on
site.
The Golden Egg Omelet House is also known for mixing a great Bloody Mary or a Mimosa to enjoy with lunch or brunch.
The Golden Egg Omelet House is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
