Anokha Cuisine of India in Old Town Novato features the warm, full flavors of contemporary Indian cuisine, prepared from personally selected, locally grown, and organic products when available. Fresh spices, many imported directly from India, are specially blended at the restaurant.

Tandoori dishes (cooked in a cylindrical clay tandoor oven) are a specialty. Anokha also features vegetarian, lamb, seafood or chicken curries. Guests may start with mouth-watering appetizers served with house-made hot green mint sauce, or sweet tamarind sauce. Naan (bread cooked in a tandoori oven) is an important feature of Northern Indian cuisine, and Anokha serves nine varieties of Indian breads. The generous menu includes vegan and vegetarian delicacies. Foods can also be prepared according to particular tastes or needs—gluten-free or with varying degrees of spice and oil.
